Volunteers will work closely with our team to identify a list of corporations in the country of their choice that have the potential to donate computers. This collaborative effort ensures that the companies are not contacted multiple times to prevent duplication.
Volunteers will research and find the department within each corporation that is responsible for social projects or corporate social responsibility. This department is usually the key contact for donation requests.
Volunteers will use a drafted letter provided by us to introduce our initiative and request the donation of computers. The letter will showcase the importance of empowering African schools with technology and the impact of their contribution.
Volunteers will inform our team about the company's response, including their plans to upgrade computer infrastructure and the number of used computers they are willing to donate. This information will help us coordinate logistics for the donation.
After receiving a commitment from the company, volunteers will send an appreciation letter to express gratitude and invite company representatives to participate in the ceremonial opening of a computer class in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Volunteers are encouraged to join the ceremony celebrating the donation, fostering a connection between the company and the impact of their contribution.
Volunteers will continue correspondence with the company to maintain a collaborative relationship. Companies frequently upgrade their computer systems, providing opportunities for ongoing donations and support.
