Support this powerful initiative on World Children’s Day!

On November 20, join us for a transformative online marathon in honor of World Children’s Day, dedicated to advocating for children’s rights and supporting educational development in Africa. The event will be livestreamed on YouTube and other platforms.

Why November 20 Matters

This date holds special significance, marking several key anniversaries:

  • 100th anniversary of the Geneva Declaration of the Rights of the Child, the first international document to protect children's rights.
  • 70th anniversary of World Children’s Day, a day established to raise awareness about children’s welfare worldwide.
  • 35th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, a landmark in child protection.
  • 35th anniversary of Africa Industrialization Day, highlighting efforts to develop infrastructure and improve living conditions across Africa.

Our Goal

The primary purpose of this marathon is to raise global awareness of the urgent challenges facing primary and secondary education in Sub-Saharan Africa and to raise funds to equip schools with computer classrooms. Africa’s educational challenges are profound: around 450,000 schools and 250 million children lack basic access to electricity, computers, and the internet. This digital divide not only limits their potential but also exacerbates broader social issues, including economic instability, social unrest, and security threats. Given the magnitude of the challenge, it is evident that African nations alone cannot bridge this gap. We firmly believe that enhancing digital literacy can transform the future for millions of students across the continent.

How You Can Help

By joining and promoting this marathon, you can help bring awareness and support to this crucial mission. We invite everyone to share the marathon on social media, using the hashtags #1School1Lab and #GivingAfrica to expand our reach. Your participation can make a world of difference in securing educational opportunities for children in Africa.

Be part of a global movement for change!

Join us on November 20 and help create a brighter future for children everywhere!
