The Belarusian president suggested combating artificial intelligence

"We need to think about how to fight against artificial intelligence (AI)," said Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with members of the Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions.

"The internet is just "peanuts" or "flowers". Artificial intelligence. How will we fight against this tomorrow? Tomorrow, for example, the rector of Grodno State University will be shown speaking in French, and she will speak nonsense! It's scary to think. How do we resist this?" - Lukashenko warned.

According to the Belarusian president, it is necessary to counteract this with offline meetings with youth. "Live speech. We need to go to the people," he said. Lukashenko believes that in Belarus, it is possible to reach out to everyone to refute what the youth will see "in this Apple iPhone or Samsung." Belarus, he noted, does not have the resources like China to prevent the impact through AI. Therefore, it is necessary to "immerse the youth in live work."
