The Role of ICT in Global Peace and the Core Mission of the United Nations

Recognizing the transformative potential of digital technologies in catalyzing sustainable development, the United Nations General Assembly established the UN ICT Task Force in November 2001. Its primary objective was to provide an inclusive platform for stakeholders from both developed and developing countries, thereby ensuring that everyone could participate in, and benefit from, the global information economy.
